There is always some kind of construction project going on in different parts of the city. Construction is permitted and even desirable, but of course controlled. Before you start building, it is a good idea to check with the right authority to see if you need a permit and to consult the guidelines and necessary documentation.

Whether you are building a detached house, on a private plot or on city land, permits are applied electronically at the permit office. You can use the e-service to submit a request for advice, which will start the process.

For other types of construction work on city and other public land, such as street and site permits, the application is also made at the permit point.
